Dr. Najafian

Dr. Alireza “Reza” Najafian is an exceptionally qualified aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon whose surgical skills are complemented by his warm and engaging personality. Dr. Najafian’s training includes a general surgery residency at the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship.

An Experienced Surgeon 

Dr. Najafian, who joined Jewell Plastic Surgery in 2022, initially graduated in 2008 from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He then worked as a primary care and an emergency physician before he was accepted as a postdoctoral research fellow at Johns Hopkins in 2013.  At Johns Hopkins, he performed a variety of research including basic science and database analysis and has published over 40 papers and 3 book chapters. He then started a general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and in 2018, transferred to Oregon Health Science University (OHSU) to complete his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Personal Life

When Dr. Najafian isn’t at work or busy taking care of his cats, he enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and landscape and wildlife photography.
