Karyn Our Liposonix Patient
By Mary Jewell
Q. Hi Karyn. I know these last couple of weeks have been busy. Can you tell me what’s been going on in your life?
A. I have to say this has been one of the craziest weeks of my life. I graduated from the University and studied and passed my GRE. The GRE is the test that allows me to get into grad school. I am so excited I passed. I had my interview with Willamette University on Monday and I won a scholarship. I am so excited that all of my hard work has paid off. I have been stressed and that leads me to make poor choices with my body and eating habits. Also, I apologize for missing a couple of weeks. We have an exchange student from Spain and have been taking her all over Oregon. That part has been really fun.
Q. You had your measurements and weight taken now that we have reached the four-week mark. How did that go? Are you happy with the results?
A. Yes, I am thrilled. I lost 3 centimeters and 2 ½ pounds. I know now that I am through with school for the summer I will be eating way more fruits and vegetables and finally being able to exercise outside. I have a road bike and I love riding. I look forward to going on long bike rides in the summer sun. I also love going to the gym but I don’t make it a priority when I am studying. It will be interesting to see how well I do for my next check-up.
Q. What are your plans for the summer?
A. I haven’t been able to spend much time with my family. I am excited about doing just the small things like playing tennis and badminton in the park. But we also have a trip planned to Bend with our exchange student from Spain. We will hike over obsidian, explore caves, and go to the High Desert Museum. We also are going to Sequoia National Park where we stay at the cabin and swim in the lake and then roast marshmallows and hot dogs at night.
Q. Is there anything else you would like to say?
A. I want you and your entire staff of amazing ladies to know how much I have appreciated the opportunity to have Liposonix performed on me. I have struggled with my muffin top for years and I can really see a difference in my body and how it responds to sit-ups and exercise in a way that I haven’t seen before. Thank you so much.
Q. You are very welcome!
