Farewell to My Patient Community

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for being part of my practice over all the years. We have had an incredible journey together over the last 44 years. I feel so honored to care for each of you and to create value in your lives through plastic surgery. 

Closing my surgical practice marks the beginning of a new chapter, one marked by indulging my passion for travel, pursuing new interests, and making way for a new generation of outstanding practitioners.  

I feel so fortunate to have been surrounded with a great staff of individuals in my clinic that helped me deliver best in class surgical outcomes. I am proud of what we have done together to create value for each of our patients. We have been able to establish amazing “best in world” records in patient safety with zero perioperative infections of performing primary breast augmentation for 46+ years.  

I leave my Eugene patient community in the caring hands of Hillary Jewell, RN, FNP-C and Alireza “Reza” Najafian, M.D, who I trust to continue my legacy of patient safety and satisfaction. Hillary is known and loved by our patients for her artistic eye and compassionate care. She will continue to provide non-invasive treatments at her practice, Jewell Aesthetic Medical Spa. Dr. Najafian is a talented surgeon whom I can completely endorse for my patients to see for plastic surgery care. I had the pleasure of working with him as one of my residents at OHSU and as my surgical associate over the last few years. 

My commitment to education and mentorship within the field of plastic surgery endures. I will support physicians and practice leaders in delivering high-quality care by continuing my work as a consultant and author.
