Dr. Jewell serves as faculty member at ASAPS Facial Rejuvenation Symposium

Dr. Jewell was selected to be a teaching faculty member of the recent facial rejuvenation symposium that was sponsored by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) in Las Vegas. This symposium covered all aspects of facial rejuvenation, both surgical and non-surgical.  It also had a hands-on bioskills workshop where leading surgeons, including Dr. Jewell demonstrated facial rejuvenation procedures for the attendees.

Dr. Jewell and his colleague, Patrick Tonnard, M.D. from Ghent, Belgium taught the MACS facelift technique. This was the technique that Dr. Jewell popularized in America as an option to procedures that are more invasive. Other procedures covered included blepharoplasty and neck tightening (“neck lift”). Dr. Glenn Jelks demonstrated current state of the art blepharoplasty and Dr. Chris Surie showed new techniques for adding volume to the mid face region with fillers.

This was a comprehensive master’s symposium on facial rejuvenation, designed for plastic surgeons who offer both surgical and non-surgical procedures. Dr. Jewell is shown in the photo with Glenn Jelks, M.D., the chairman of the symposium. Dr. Jewell adds, “While it is an honor to be selected as faculty with some of the brightest minds throughout the world in facial rejuvenation, what we offer patients in Eugene, Oregon is very much state of the art.”

Dr. Jewell offers a wide array of facial rejuvenation procedures, both surgical and non-surgical. This includes face lift, blepharoplasty for the eyelids, neck lifts along with cosmetic injectables (Botox Cosmetic, tissue fillers) and Ulthera / Laser treatments.
