LipoSonix, Inc. is pleased to announce that they will be unveiling their first commercial product for non-invasive body sculpting at Plastic Surgery 2007 in Baltimore, Oct 28th 2007. As you may be aware, LipoSonix, is a company based in the Seattle Washington area that has been developing focused ultrasound technology (HIFU) for non-invasive body sculpting for the last several years.

Our philosophy has always been to prioritize basic science and clinical research over commercialization. Until now, the entire LipoSonix team has been focused on rigorous scientific research, clinical trials, and consumer-centric product development. While the product is not yet FDA approved and not available for sale in the United States, we expect to begin sales in international markets in early 2008. Currently, Mark Jewell, M.D. is the acting medical director of LipoSonix, Inc. and oversees the scientific research that is being conducted.
